Bryan Morello (USA, 1988) is a multidisciplinary artist exploring the uncanny relationships between humanity and our contemporary, highly mediated and connected reality. His works on paper and canvas transmute laborious mark-making to expose the body’s relationship to the materials, while his interest in found and constructed AI images, which inspire installations explore uncanny scenes, exploring our relationship with machines and the natural world.
Solo exhibitions include: Neumeister Bar-Am, Berlin; Bad Reputation, Los Angeles; Mission Comics, San Francisco; Rodi Gallery, New York; and Important Projects, Oakland. Group exhibitions include: Mortadelle, Arles; Kodomo, New York; Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Museum, San Francisco; Interstate Projects, Brooklyn and Yoga Center, Goteborg. Morello has a BFA from California College of the Arts and is currently in the Arts Technologies programme at CalArts, LA.
